OLIVER

Auditions

What happens at an audition for a film?

If it is an open audition then sometimes up to a thousand people may come so you won't be asked to prepare anything. The main thing that the panel is looking for is someone to stand out so they will ask you to give facial expressions and read a few lines and that would be all.
A 2 hour queue for a 2 minute audition.

If it isn't an open audition then you may have to prepare a monologue from the film they are casting, write down who you want to play and give your best shot at the part.

Here the trailer for this upcoming 2012 film.

A few years ago I went to see Wicked in the theatre, the music is amazing and so catchy I am still singing it now after a few years. It has a great storyline too, there is some interaction and the whole experience of being in e theatre and seeing the performance is memorising!

Jersey Boys

Recently I went  to see a West End Production of Jersey Boys. I went with my parents to see it at The Prince Edward Theatre. My Dad bought us tickets last minute so when we arrived at the train station to collect our tickets we realised we were sitting at the back row of the whole theatre so we were a bit unsure whether we would enjoy ourselves. As we entered the theatre we were upgraded to Row F (Row B being the front row in the stalls) so we were very close.

The show was amazing, the music linked with the story line was very neat and sleek. Everything was in perfect time and the harmonies were clean and melodic.

The story line was comical, enjoyable and intriguing, but at some points touching.

Overall I loved the show and would definitely go to see it again! I recommend to everyone especially those with a love for 'based on a real story' musicals!
